Tania, a 32-year-old single mother has recently been diagnosed with clinical depression. Tania is lethargic and feels unable to care adequately for her two-year-old son. Before having her son, Tania was a professional dancer who toured the country, but since her son was born she has been unemployed, because she believes that children should be brought up in a stable environment and she has been unable to find employment in the local area.

Describe the strategies you might use if you were a mental health worker to ensure all contacts with Tania reflect appropriate expression of value systems and the consideration of the emotional impact of the intervention.
